Eau Claire’s deputy fire chief is stepping down
After 28 years with the Eau Claire Fire Department, David Gee is moving on. Friday will be his last day with the department.
Gee says in his time there, he's proud of the array of services the fire department now offers.
Gee has spent 35 years in emergency service, first working as an EMT. Despite the choice to move on, he says he will miss it
"I’ll miss the camaraderie, the comradeship, the feeling of being something bigger than you, the day-to-day interaction of the people... That's what I’ll miss the most,” says gee.
Gee says he probably won't stay unemployed for long, but for now, he plans to take it easy and spend some time with his daughters.
