A Minnesota woman is in the hospital after a deer smashed through the windshield of a van in Jackson County Monday.

The Wisconsin State Patrol says the van was traveling on Interstate 94 near Osseo when another car hit a deer and the deer flew up and smashed through the windshield of the van.

Georgia Ann Kretschmar, 47, was in the passenger seat and was flown to the hospital.

Troopers say her injuries are not life-threatening. Two other people in the car were hurt but didn't go to the hospital.
