University leaders say a lot of incoming freshmen want to live in the dorms. But that means Stout needs to get creative. It says there are 3,200 students who want to live in University Housing, and there's room for nearly three thousand. Stout plans to triple up in some rooms, use downstairs rooms and lounges for space. No one will have to use hotel rooms, according to Stout leaders. Chancellor Charles Sorenson says the boom is a testament to the education and the extras stout provides, like laptops, microfridges, carpet and loft beds in the dorms.
