Gulf coast lawmakers are scrambling to get as much Hurricane Katrina aid as possible before Congress goes home for the holidays.
Meanwhile in Wisconsin, there's still help available.
State emergency management officials want to remind those who have evacuated to Wisconsin of some important phone numbers and places to go for help.
For help finding the appropriate housing and social service resources, call the Wisconsin Hurricane Relief Center at 1-866-211-3380.
You could also call your county's local public housing authority. The number for Eau Claire County is 715-839-6240.
To find housing in other areas of the country, call FEMA's contractor at 1-800-762-8740.
And all evacuees, who haven't already, should register with FEMA to see about any grants and programs available. The number to call for that is 1-800-621-FEMA.
