Time Capsule Opened at Luther Midelfort Hospital

The time capsule was discovered in November when the former nurses dormitory was being torn down. It was encased in the cornerstone of the building, which was built in 1929.
Nursing school alumni showed up for the event and it brought back pleasant memories for the former students.
"They took down my nurse's dorm building. My room right in the first part, I loved on 313, we had a really good time,” said Carol Leer, former nursing student.
Diagrams and pictures of the dormitory were among some of the items found in the capsule.
The cornerstone in which the capsule was found will be placed in the hospital's proposed therapeutic healing garden.
As for the dormitory site, it's temporarily being used as a parking lot.
