Delong Middle School Helps Out
The giving season is present throughout the area and prevalent at Delong Middle School.
7th graders at the school raised $2,500 dollars and received a Presto Foundation grant of $2,000 dollars for Children's Service Society.
Students and staff spent time last week wrappng gifts they bought for the agency's families.
The gifts were delivered to the agency this morning and then distributed to families in the area.
"We just want to thank all the people that helped get these gifts together. It's been a hard year for our family and this is really nice," said Cathy Stygar, whose family received gifts.
The money raised will be used for specific needs for families served by the Children's Service Society's Building Families Program.
