La Crosse Woman gets Probation for Grandchildren's Deaths

A 45-year-old La Crosse woman will serve three years probation and do 30 hours of community service in the fire deaths of her two young grandchildren.
Ter Moua left her three-year-old grandson and her two-year-old granddaughter home alone in 2004.
Prosecutors say the fire apparently was started by the children throwing objects in the furnace or water heater pilot lights.
A La Crosse County circuit judge also ordered that if Moua cares for children not related to her, she has to tell the parents about her conviction on two counts of child neglect resulting in death.
