For the third year in a row, Wisconsin ranks last in the country when it comes to low-income kids who get free breakfasts.
According to the Food Research and Action Center in Washington, last year only 26 percent of Wisconsin students who got subsidized lunch also got breakfast in school.
That's compared to 13 states where more than 50 percent get breakfast.
Many educators say breakfast helps kids learn more throughout the day, and this program helps low-income kids who might not get their morning meal.
