Chippewa Falls Smoking Ban Moves Forward

Chippewa Falls could become the next city to go smoke free.
Tuesday night, the City Council rejected a committee's decision to wait for the state to make a move.
About fifteen people spoke out Tuesday night about a potential ban in Chippewa Falls.
The City Public Safety Committee made a recommendation to wait until the state makes a move on smoking in public places.
The City Council rejected that idea four to three and says it will bring up the smoking ban idea at a later date.
Eau Claire’s smoking ban starts next Tuesday.
