Feingold Returns Campaign Money From Jack Abramoff

Wisconsin Democratic U.S. Senator Russ Feingold's campaign said Friday it's returning contributions from political action committees and individuals associated with the law firm of lobbyist Jack Abramoff.

The lobbyist has pleaded guilty to corruption and tax evasion charges, and has agreed to cooperate in an investigation that could taint dozens of members of Congress.

Feingold campaign aide George Aldrich says they'll return $1,600 in donations from a PAC and two individuals associated with the firm Greenberg Traurig.

Feingold is co-author of the McCain-Feingold campaign finance reform law.

He says details about Abramoff's activities will "help spur reform."
