Gov. Jim Doyle Signs and Vetoes Wisconsin Bills

Public schools can still hold special elections regarding whether they can exceed revenue limits thanks to Governor Jim Doyle and his veto pen.
It's one of the decisions he made Friday.
He vetoed a bill making it tougher for consumers to sue lead-based paint manufacturers as well as a bill that would shield firearm industries, shooting ranges, and sporting associations from civil lawsuits stemming from gun violence.
Doyle did sign a republican bill barring the prison system from using state funds or resources for prisoner sex changes.
