"Camp Snoopy" WIll No Longer Be Present At Mall Of America

The Mall of America says it's revamping its theme park, which will no longer be called Camp Snoopy and will no longer include characters from the "Peanuts" comic strip.

The Bloomington mall says it has been in negotiations for several months with United Media, which owns the rights to the Peanuts and Camp Snoopy brands, but was unable to reach an agreement to continue using the brands.

The mall says United Media has asked that the amusement park stop using the Camp Snoopy name and theme by January 19th.

The Mall of America says the amusement park and rides will remain open as "The Park at M-O-A" until a new theme is chosen. The mall is currently in negotiations with several new brand candidates.
