UW-Stout and Menomonie Fire Perform Rescue Drill

The Menomonie Fire Department and UW-Stout worked together in a rescue drill.
Rescue crews performed the exercise near Fleming hall on the UW-Stout campus
It was designed to practice the rescue of a maintenance worker in the steam tunnels.
Crews were not made aware of the drill before Thursday.
Menomonie Fire Chief Jack Baus says crews try to practice every day and working with Stout helps to increase emergency preparations..
"Working with Stout is tremendous because their obviously a huge presence in the community, a lot of people a lot of buildings and to be able to work together with them is critical for training and preparedness for a number of different disasters,” says Menomonie Fire Chief Jack Baus
