Racers from all over the country hit the ice to race against some of the best in the sport.
All the money raised through entry fees and concession sales will go back into the community for several different projects.
There were 340 entries in the race making it a far better turnout this year.
"Well, last year, we had a huge blizzard that kind of kept everyone at home. And this year its a points race so we get all the pro-racers here this year," said Thomas Smith, chair of the Stanley Ice Races event.
The races are sponsored by the Stanley FFA, businessmen, and chamber. They hope to raise about $5,000 this year. Last year, only $250 for each group was raised because of the low turnout.
