Conflicting reports from the furry forecasters Thursday morning.
Jimmy the Groundhog in Sun Prairie is predicting an early spring, because he didn't seen his shadow.
But, in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, the more famous groundhog named Phil is predicting six more weeks of winter.
Back in Sun Prairie, several hundred people showed up for Groundhog Day at Cannery Square downtown.
Vern Buskager from the Sun Prairie Chamber of Commerce says the community began holding regular ceremonies in 1948. Buskager says Jimmy has made the correct prediction ten of the last 14 years.
