Authorities say two Sheboygan men have been injured in a small plane crash at Sheboygan County Memorial Airport.
The sheriff's department says the single-engine, 1966 Beechcraft Musketeer was trying to land yesterday about 2:05 p.m. when the engine stopped. The pilot couldn't get the engine to restart, so he tried to land the plane on a field at the airport.
The plane hit a ditch and crashed about 300 feet from the runway.
Deputies say 80-year-old pilot Richard A. White suffered non-life-threatening injuries. His 81-year-old passenger, Charles T. Williams, had chest pains. Both were taken to a hospital.
The sheriff's department, Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board continue to investigate the crash.
