Police arrest a South Dakota man after a high-speed chase in Barron County.
Deputies took 36-year-old Daniel Blake into custody on Sunday.
Around 5:30 that morning, officers from the rice lake police department tried to stop Blake’s vehicle for a traffic violation.
They say Blake refused to stop and led officers on a chase that reached speeds of 80 mph.
The Barron County Sheriff's Department was called for back-up, and deputies tried to stop the vehicle with two sets of tire deflation devices, but were unsuccessful.
A deputy eventually had to hit Blake’s vehicle with his squad car, causing it to spin and come to a stop.
Blake is being held in the Barron County jail pending charges.
