The booster seat bill was passed on February 2nd and is still awaiting Governor Doyle's signature. According to data collected by Safe Kids Chippewa Valley, 92.36 percent of safety seats in the Chippewa Valley are not properly installed.
The event provided an excellent opportunity for parents to get a proper booster seat and to learn how to properly install it.
"This is a very important part of that activity here in the Chippewa Valley and it's great to see so many volunteers and the long line of cars because we have a lot of work to do in this area," said Representative Rob Kreibich.
This event will be held once a month at various car dealerships throughout the Chippewa Valley. For more information contact Safe Kids Chippewa Valley at 839-8144.
