Terry Sheridan fills void on City Council

Eau Claire City Councilman Dallas Neville's vacancy is filled.
In an overwhelming vote, the council ushered in former council member Terry Sheridan into the temporary spot.
Sheridan got 8 of 10 votes from the council.
This marks Sheridan's fourth term on the council after serving 3 non-consecutive terms between 1996 to 2004.
Sheridan says he will not seek re-election when his term runs out in April of next year, and thinks his previous status with voters led to his victory.
"I would hope they looked that every time I ran I received the highest vote total from the at-large candidates and since the city council is acting as the electorate, will vote the way they would," Sheridan said.
Before the vote, Council President Dave Adler presented former council member Neville with a plaque commending his service to the city during the past 2 years.
