Lewallen Trial set for April 3rd

The trial for a Stanley man accused of 7 counts of second degree sexual assault has been set forApril 3rd.
26 year old Donald Lewallen appeared in Chippewa County court this afternoon and pleaded not guilty to 7 felonies and a misdemeanor battery charge for an incident that took place at his residence back on January 21st.
According to the criminal complaint, Lewallen allegedly physically assaulted and raped a 24 year old Stanley woman.
A motion hearing was also set for Aarch 10th to suppress certain police statements.
