Bush, Cheney Plan Wisconsin Visit

A state Republican Party leader says President Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney are due for separate visits to Wisconsin.

Party executive director Rick Wiley says the president is due in Milwaukee on Monday, President's Day, to speak at Johnson Controls ... and the likely focus will be job creation.

Cheney is scheduled to appear at a fundraising luncheon March 13th in De Pere for Assembly Speaker John Gard, who is running for Congress.

Gard, of Peshtigo, is challenging state Representative Terri McCormick, of Appleton, for the Republican nomination for the Eighth District seat in northeastern Wisconsin. Incumbent Republican Congressman Mark Green is vacating the seat to run for governor.
