A spokesperson for Fleetguard/Nelson says they’re laying off more than 200 people at their muffler plant in Clark County.
Last night plant managers notified the employees at their muffler plant that they would be without jobs starting in May.
The Nashville based company says they are transferring product lines closer to their customers.
They intend on keeping open their filter plant in Neillsville which employs more than 300 people.
The company makes mufflers and filters for numerous companies including Harley Davidson, John Deere and Honda.
