High Quality Driving High Cost of Child Care

Experts say part of the reason for the high cost is the high quality of Wisconsin child care driven in part by state regulations.
"The standards that Wisconsin has for childcare are high quality and there's a focus on the higher quality we can get to the better it is for the children," says Assistant Director of UW-Eau Claire's Children's Center
The cost of quality, say providers, include wages for skilled teachers, making sure there are enough teachers to meet state guidelines and simply maintaining equipment and supplies.
