Hundreds of people gathered at Carson Park in Eau Claire Friday to help celebrate our nation's birthday.
Today marked the 16th annual Independence Day event at the Chippewa Valley Museum.
People of all ages enjoyed train rides, tours of the Paul Bunyan Logging Camp, old fashioned cotton candy and of course, music!
For the kids, there were also games and prizes, plus a history bee.
Museum leaders say the annual event is their one major fundraiser.
"That supports our programs throughout the year as well as our preservation efforts so it's an amazing help from the community for this wonderful institution that gives back to the community in every way possible,” says Liz Fisher from the museum.
Last year's event brought in more than $10,000 dollars from about 2,000 visitors.
