Students will be camping out at Eau Claire North and Memorial High Schools to get tickets for the much-anticipated hockey showdown between the two.
The teams will meet Friday afternoon at Hobbs Ice Center.
Before the off-ice controversy, the teams lost only two games between them.
North Principal Tom Fiedler says there will be more security on hand, but it's not because of the controversy.
"First of all there's a youth hockey tournament at Hobbs; that certainly played a bit of a factor. But, we knew the game was going to be a sellout,” Fiedler says. “We could probably play the game at 7:00 in the morning and it'd still be sold out. So the time of the game really wasn't that significant. 4:00 seems to be a good time. Kids are in school, they leave school, go to Hobbs, and we play the game."
A year ago, the Abes and Huskies met in the sectional championship game, Memorial won a thriller, 2-1 in overtime. Tickets for this years match-up go on sale tomorrow at 7 a.m.
