I wish that there were more people who had the patience to help the less fortunate. I would rather teach a person who will get out of jail eventually to take care of themself. I have reserched the subject and those who get education and find a job usually do not return to jail. If we are feeding them. Why not educate them out of the system.

I am a little appalled knowing that there are individuals in the state that need help to afford to get a GED and are unable to get that help because of this or that reason.. For people to fund inmates to get a GED is astonishing. Normal every day joes that can't afford to get a GED are worse off than inmates that get a "free ride" in our system, sucking up benefits that many indivduals don't get even though they try hard making an honest living sometimes having to work 2-3 jobs just to get food on the table. So lets give criminals all the food, medical, shelter, and an education just because they are "lost souls" Makes me want to commit a crime just so I can go to jail and reap benefits at taxpayers expenses!!
