A Wisconsin seller of bull semen is among the companies cited in an Associated Press analysis showing U.S. exports to Iran grow more than tenfold during President Bush's years in office. That's even as he accused Iran of nuclear ambitions and helping terrorists as part of an "axis of evil."

The U.S. exports to Iran during the Bush administration have included just under $13 million in bull semen from Alta Genetics, Incorporated. It's a Canadian company with an office in Watertown, Wisconsin, that sells bull semen. The product is used to produce healthier, more profitable cattle.

The figures come from an AP analysis of government trade data compiled by the World Institute for Strategic Economic Research in Holyoke, Massachusetts.

The AP found that despite increasingly tough rhetoric toward Iran, U.S. trade in a range of goods survives on-again, off-again sanctions originally imposed nearly three decades ago.
