Students Head to Mississippi to Help with Hurricane Katrina Repair Efforts

They'll be down there for a week cleaning up and rebuilding damaged structures. The students will also be visiting the boys and girls club to meet children affected by the natural disaster.
Even though students had to pay $150 out of their own pockets to make the trip possible, it's the outcome of their efforts they look forward to.
"I’m doing it because I felt like I wasn't doing enough when the actual hurricane happened. Just giving money, just giving donations didn't satisfy me personally,” said Adam Enerson, a U-W Stout Senior.
Students also collected about $600 that were used to purchase Home Depots gift cards which they are bringing down for the people of Mississippi
