A Marine from southern Wisconsin is the latest causality in the war on terror.
21-year-old Lance Corporal Nicholas Anderson from Sauk City died while on patrol Monday in Afghanistan.
Anderson's father says before his son was deployed, he told him he shouldn't worry because he would be OK. His father says the confidence in his son's voice made him believe him.
Anderson, a member of the 3rd Marines Weapon Platoon, was in the second month of a 6-month tour of duty.
He was a 2003 graduate of Sauk Prairie High School and was promoted to Lance Corporal just last month.
