Fire fighters from Fall Creek and Altoona say they got the call around 4:15 Sunday afternoon to S4325 Water Tower Road in Fall Creek.
No one was injured.
The owner's teenage son noticed the barn was on fire and called 9-1-1.
The family says they're in shock to lose the barn, which was used to house machinery and has stood on their land since 1917.
Fire fighters still don't know what caused the fire.
