Snowmobiler Charged in St. Croix County Hit and Run

A snowmobiler is now charged in a hit and run incident that seriously hurt a woman last week in new St. Croix County.
46-year-old Scott James Kaufhold is charged with first degree reckless injury. St. Croix County investigators say a woman and her husband were walking along County Road C on the evening of March 13th.
The woman was hit by the snowmobile and thrown almost 30 feet. She broke several bones. Police say Kaufhold told them he thought he hit a deer or a road sign and kept going.
