A 23-year-old Clayton man is in the hospital after deputies say he led them on a high speed chase and rolled his vehicle.

Shane Erickson was flown to Regions Hospital in St Paul on Saturday. The Barron County Sheriff's Department says it responded to a call around 1:15am Saturday of a vehicle traveling at a high speed without its lights on.

When a deputy tried to pull over the vehicle, Erickson took off and ended up driving into a construction zone, where he hit a pile of dirt, overturned, and rolled several times. The incident is still under investigation.
