Man Hits Cop Car
Officers are holding an Eau Claire man who they say hit a squad car led police on a high speed chase then tried to convince officers that his car was stolen.

Officers are holding an Eau Claire man who they say hit a squad car led police on a high speed chase then tried to convince officers that his car was stolen.
Police say 22-year-old Dustin Peterson was going in the wrong lane, when he hit a squad car early Sunday morning.
Officers say he took off, and led them on a chase that got up to 80 mph.
Police found his car in an alley off of 6th Avenue.
Then that afternoon, officers say Peterson reported his car stolen in River Falls. After going to the PD in Eau Claire.
He eventually admitted he was the driver in the crash with the squad car.
The squad has minor damage and is still drivable.
