A man and two young girls were rescued from a La Crosse area lake as a storm blew through the region Wednesday night.
The three became stranded on Lake Onalaska when their boat motor quit as a storm with heavy rain and fog rolled into the area.
Jeff Lieske and the girls, ages 10 and 7, were able to use a cell phone to call for help. One of the girls is the daughter of Lieske's fiancee.
The Town of Campbell Fire Department was able to reach the three about an hour later. They were taken to a boat landing on French Island and treated for exposure.
