Officers say they believe a string of about a half dozen burglaries in Alma Center last week are linked to several other burglaries in Black River Falls.
Deputies responded to the Alma Center burglaries last week Tuesday.
They say Strawberry Square, Alma Center Garage, AC Builders, Alma Center Meat Locker, Jan’s Place, and the Alma Center Laundromat were all broken into.
Officers say cash was taken in most instances.
Deputies say they have a hat and gloves are directly linked to the crimes. They say the items also have substantial DNA evidence on them.
Officers say someone broke into every business and that blood evidence was also left at Strawberry Square.
Deputies say witness accounts tell them there are at least two suspects in the burglaries.
