Dr. Brian Levin-Stankevich was selected by the UW Board of Regents last month. Monday morning, the university hosted a reception for staff, and another for students to meet the chancellor in the afternoon.
Levin-Stankevich says he's honored and excited to begin his new job. "The combination of the cultural, recreational, athletic, intellectual opportunism at a small university mixed with a community of people that really care about this institution is something we're looking forward to being a part of," says Dr. Levin-Stankevich, of himself and his wife, Debi.
The new chancellor, who is currently serving as the interim president of Eastern Washington University, will start at UW-Eau Claire full time on June 1.
