La Crosse High Tech Business Sold To California Company

The sale of one of La Crosse's economic success stories is complete.

Firstlogic has been sold to Business Objects of California. And current employees can expect changes.

Business Objects executive Tracy Eiler says the company will offer "above market" severance packages to about ten to 15 percent of Firstlogic's 400 employees.

Eiler says most Firstlogic employees will still have jobs with Business Objects because their experience and expertise in corporate software is valuable.

Eiler expects the Business Objects takeover to actually help La Crosse's economy in the long-term. In the past year, her company has grown considerably, hiring an additional 500 people.
