Altoona Passes School Referendum
By a close margin the city of Altoona voted to pass the referendum asking should the revenues in the budget for the 2006-2007 school year be authorized to exceed the revenue limit by $975,000 a year for operational purposes.
The tally was 1128 yes, 1116 no
In Ladysmith, a similar referendum for $750,000 was voted down 785 to 286.
