Firefighters say a fire Wednesday afternoon caused extensive smoke damage to a Chippewa County home.
The fire in the town of Eagle Point north of Chippewa Falls was called in around noon.
Jeff Bowe with the Eagle Point Fire Department says no one was home when the fire started.
He says the owner came home and called the fire in. Bowe says the fire started in the living room area and was confined to it.
He says the fire is still under investigation.
