Eau Claire Plans 2 New Parks
The Eau Claire Parks Department is moving forward with plans for two new parks.

Director Phil Fieber says the property for the two new parks was purchased about ten years ago.
One is on the northwest corner of the city, the other in on the southeast side. Both are about one hundred acres in size.
Fieber says preliminary site plans are ready for you to see, and the department wants your input on what should be included in the parks' design, and what the parks should be named. Right now sledding, tubing and trails are part of the plan.
"What we're trying to do is, we're trying to accommodate the needs of future generations here in Eau Claire and make sure that they have adequate room to play," says Fieber.
Fieber says fundraising will start in the next few months and these two spaces will be important in the years to come. He says it could take ten to twenty years to fully develop the parks.
