Well Tracy i'm guessing people are talking about the cabin that exploded about 5 miles north from where you live.
We live just south of the lake by 5 miles and I don't know what people are talking about we did not hear a thing.
My wife and I actually went out on the deck to see what we thought had hit our house, and we are about 8 miles away!!
Why would it be goofy to be on the lake? You obviously have never had the pleasure! It is absolutely beautiful and very peaceful on the lake in the evenings. I grew up on a lake and we use to fish for bullheads around that time.
We heard and felt the boom at our home. Several people were out on the streets in Almena trying to figure out what it was. We overheard a comment that it was thunder but we knew it was more than that! Our dog and the neighbor dogs were going crazy too.
sounds kinda goofy...9:15 pm and nobody around at all or out on the boat....hmmmmmm
I not only heard the blast but also felt it
We felt that blast last night. It shook our house in the town of Cumberland - about 15 miles away. Thankfully no one near the home that blew up was injured. It was loud!
