There will be a new referendum question on the ballot in Eau Claire and Altoona in November, and it involves health care.

Organizers delivered petitions to the clerks in the two cities for the advisory referendum.

The referendum instructs the legislature to guarantee health care as good as what's provided to state legislators.

The advisory referendum has no binding effect if passed by voters, but organizers say it does send a message.
