The Merrillan Fire Department says crews were called to Mr. Ed's on North Main Street in Merrillan just before noon Thursday.

Four area fire departments were called in to help put out the fire.

Firefighters say no one was hurt.

Firefighters believe the blaze started in the kitchen area. That's where the heaviest damage is. Firefighters say they still don't know what started the fire.

The owner of Mr. Ed's says he hopes to rebuild the bar and restaurant.
