The man suspected of ambushing a group of young revelers in Wisconsin was a regular at the swimming hangout where they were shot.
Two 14-year-old boys say the 38-year-old Scott J. Johnson would arrive alone and avoid most people but occasionally chat with them and a few other teens.
Conrad LaPointe, who lives in Johnson's neighborhood in Kingsford, Michigan, says Johnson was always nice to him, but when girls were swimming he would stare at them.
Attempts to contact Johnson or a representative have been unsuccessful. Officials in Marinette County, Wisconsin, didn't know whether Johnson had an attorney.
Johnson is being held at the Marinette County jail and could be charged in the three shooting deaths as early as Monday.
