A fireworks explosion has killed two teens.
The Ashland County Sheriff's Department says the "improvised fireworks" went off shortly before 9pm Sunday on a gravel bar in the Brunsweiller River about a mile east of Marengo.
The department says 17-year-old Rodney Blakeman died at the scene and 19-year-old Aaron Granger died later Sunday at an Ashland hospital.
The sheriff's department has not released other details about the explosion -- which is still under investigation.
