Two Eau Claire schools are getting recognition for being healthy.

Former President, Bill Clinton, honored Sam Davey Elementary and Sherman Elementary schools for their work in providing opportunities for students to exercise and play; putting healthy foods and beverages in cafeterias and vending machines; and providing resources for teachers and staff to become healthy role models.

The two are among 43 schools nationwide to recieve the award. Clinton announced the awards at the Healthy Schools forum in Arkansas Wednesday. Representatives from Sam Davey and Sherman Elementary were on-hand to accept the awards.
