Packed Pews at Eau Claire Catholic Church

Christians spent Sunday celebrating the resurrection of Jesus.

At Saint James the Greater Church in Eau Claire, Father John Schultz says about 600-parishioners showed up for Easter Mass.

He says the holiday isn't simply about remembering what happened 2,000 years ago.

"This is a reality of salvation that is happening for us right here, now, today...sacrimentally and litergically."

Father Schultz says there are 50 days in the Easter season to live out, and while mass is important, he hopes people observed at home with music and Holy Water through the rest of their Sunday too.
