Grand Chute police have arrested a man who they say was trying to sell his 18-month old daughter.
A 37-year-old Green Bay man was arrested Thursday night at a Grand Chute home after a three-day investigation.
Grand Chute police officer Aaron Schellinger says the allegation was reported to Appleton police Monday by mutual friends.
He says Grand Chute got the case police because the person who was going to buy the child lived there.
He says the child's mother is in Milwaukee.
Grand Chute Police Chief Ed Kopp says the two were bartering on the price.
He says Brown County officials took the baby into custody.
The suspect is expected to make an initial court appearance in Outagamie County court.
