Up to 100 new jobs are expected as a new health care facility broke ground Wednesday.
The so-called 'Dove South’ is located at the former 'Unity Fitness Center' off of highway 93 in Eau Claire.
CEO of Dove Healthcare, Jim Deignan expressed his excitement over the new project, especially that the skilled nursing facility will bring between 80 and 100 new jobs to the area.
Deignan says, “Dove and it's affiliates have about 515 employees today, it's a fairly large employer and this will push us over 600.”
The new building will include 50 private rooms and amenities such as spas and swimming areas for the residents.
Deignan says this new facility is focusing on bringing forward thinking into health care treatment.
