High pressure will continue to be our friend this weekend, keeping the weather beautiful and nearly ideal, not only for boat and beach activities, but also all the great, fun events on the calendar here in Western Wisconsin.. Pioneer Days and the US Open Chainsaw Sculpture Championship here in Eau Claire, Pure Water Days in Chippewa Falls, and Ashley for the Arts in Arcadia all look great!
Today will be mostly sunny with seasonable temperatures-- in the lower 80's. The dry east and southeast flow that has been so prevalent this past week will continue, keeping the dew points in the comfortable range. They may begin to creep up later tomorrow, out ahead of the next front, but overall, humidity will remain in check. Having said this, Sunday will also be another great outdoor day, though some clouds may begin to increase by later in the afternoon out ahead of the next cold front. Highs will again be in the 80's. The front will be on the weaker side, but should be enough to produce at least scattered showers and thunderstorms. These will arrive later in the evening and night, continuing into at least the first part of Monday. Overall rainfall amounts will likely not be significant, but given the dry weather of late, anything we get will be welcome. A slight cool down can then be expected into the early part of next week.
